Tis The Season…Already?!

I know. It seems a little early to start talking about Christmas, but there are a little over two months to get all those gifts bought, wrapped and mailed off before the big day.

Call me sexist or whatever, but if you're a male, you're probably thinking it's much to early to be thinking about Christmas. I'd also bet you "let" your wife do all the shopping for the both sides of the family too. But if you're a woman, then you can appreciate what little time there is left to get all this done. I'm hoping to have most of my shopping done before Thanksgiving. How about you? When do you start your Christmas shopping?

I love Christmas shopping once I'm out there, it's getting started that so hard. Shopping for gifts is so daunting. I really do put a lot of thought into the gifts I give. I'm not saying I always get it right, but at least I know I tried (I do get it right 98% of the time – just sayin'). I don't think anyone was as disappointed with a gift they received from me as this girl was with the gift she received.

Our family used Amazon's wish list last year for gift-giving ideas. It worked out really well. What are you doing this year to organize your Christmas shopping?

I've started making that card list too. The Christmas card list. You know, for the people I haven't seen in years or simply don't like enough to get them a gift, but feel obligated to send them something because they always send me a card. Now that I think about it, maybe they only send me a card because I've sent them a card in the past and over the years it's become this vicious cycle. Maybe they're thinking the same thing - Who the hell is this person and why do they keep sending me cards?
