Savoring every little 'byte' the world wide web has to offer
They say to get out there and do something offline so you'll have something to write about online. I think it's funny that I haven't been able to find the time to write anything online, because I've been doing so much offline since the summer started.
My husband travels quite a bit for work. He earns a lot of travel points, as a result of this traveling. Unfortunately, he hates to travel, which means family trips are few and far between. What kind of a person would I be, if I were to let all those travel points go to waste? I can't let that happen, so I've taken it upon myself to make use of all those travel points. Waste not, want not, right?
The car is clean. The bags are in the trunk. There are healthy snacks at the ready. And there's a nice, hot cup of coffee in the drink holder. You're all set. It's a road trip! You get comfortable in your seat and buckle up, check the mirrors and start driving.
Tired of the routine? So am I. I was planning to go to Little Rock, Arkansas this weekend, but even that is kind of routine. Just as I was reserving a room, I decided to switch my travel plans up a bit. As it turns out, changing my plans was probably a good decision since it looks like they're all snowed in for the weekend. I wouldn't want to take my chances on driving the roads out there – almost 7 hours away from home. So while Little Rock, Arkansas is all snowed in this weekend, I'm headed to Florida instead.
Imagine your back in the 5th grade and the school year has just started. Your Mrs. Normile asks everyone to take out a piece of paper and have pencils in hand, then gives you your first assignment – a two-page essay on "What I Did This Summer". You let out a deep groan along with everyone else in the classroom, except for that girl with the blonde, braided, ponytails, who has already annoyed you with her bubbly, in-your-face, personality.
